Adventure Time characters on upper arm

Neo-trad · Upper arm · Colour · Photo

A large colour tattoo covers the upper arm and shoulder, showing Finn the human in his white hat, Jake the dog at the bottom, and a crowned character at the top left. The characters have bold outlines and flat, bright fills in yellow, blue, pink and orange. The composition fills the arm with the figures overlapping and set against a light background.

Jake had stretched himself into a hammock between two cliffs, which was the only sensible way to wait for a tide that never arrived on time. Finn sat on the rim of his white hat, squinting at the sea through a spyglass he had pried from a crab's shell and polished with his sleeve until it shone.

"Ice King's boat is coming in," he said. "Look, its sail is shaped like a bad idea."

"Everything out here is shaped like a bad idea," Jake said, without opening his eyes. "That's how you know it's Ooo."

The crown came first, bobbing over the waves on a raft of driftwood and old bottles, then the blue beard, then the king himself waving a fistful of melting ice cream like a flag of surrender. He wanted a favour. He always wanted a favour. His crown had slipped off during a sneeze, and the little jewel that made it work had dropped into the deep, and he had heard that a certain dog could stretch all the way to the bottom of the sea and back.

Jake sighed, yawned, and grew longer than the cliffs, dipping one paw into the water until the sand turned pink with sunset. Finn laughed so hard he nearly tumbled off his hat. When the jewel rose glinting between Jake's claws, the king gasped, clapped his hands together, and wept happily into his beard. Jake shrugged and shrank back to the size of a sofa cushion. The boat drifted off toward the horizon, its crown on backwards and its sail still shaped like a bad idea.
